the most important multimedia device in my life is my mobile phone and the ipod cause i can do what ever i want to do because they belong to me, without my mobile phone i could not stay intouch with my friends during the hoildaiis, and my ipod keeps me entertain as i listen to music, watch videos and play games when i am seriously bored

yes i do i think that technology will improve during teh future as many people will discover many differnent devices

this is my first blog for the term .

this term, we are researching about new multi-media things ..
using things such as, scrapblog.com or notaland.com . ; cool aay ?? ;)
.. and as my first task ..
im going to investigate if these websites are any good ..
ahahahahaaaaa .

starting with . scrapblog.com
-the layout of scrapblog is very easy to understand and locate .
-the tools are simply accessed and used .
-the cool thing about scrapblog are the special things that can be added to make your page/screen look good . for example, the background or stickers or ect ect.
-there seems to be an umlimted source of these following backgrounds and stickers, frames and whatnots. in a wide varitry, which are also composed and organized into neat and clean sections.
-making the pages and scrap pages are no challange which is good for the users who are new towards the 'techonolgy world'.
- making a new account is fairly easy.
-the ability to upload images and videos from various sources ; facebook, usb, disks, picasca, photobucket and flickr, and smugmug. cool huh ?
** however, there some faultys in the website of scrapblog.com,
- in order to get the very, very pretty and nice stickers, you need to purchase what they call, credits. in order to get this you must make a transaction via your credit card onto the website.
this is a negitive because, in order to properly make the page/scrap page presentable and especially nice, you need credits .
- it is hard to navigate the page in the opening . example, not knowing where to go to continue making the scrap page .

What are Storyboards?

1. Storyboard is a sequence of still pictures deliberately arranged to represent the events of a story which will be filmed.
2. A storyboard acts as a preview and as a visual script for camera angles for lighting, camera and most importantly the narrative development and continuity.
3. What are 2 problems that could be encountered if a storyboard is absent from a script ?
Because the script would be in written form only there would be a danger of misunderstanding the descriptions or film terms.
There could be language differences. Pictures are the International story language.
4. What is the name of the main type of storyboard?
Production Storyboard.
5. What is a Conceptual Sheet or Painting storyboard?
This is only a sequence of images, much like a photo-essay. The purpose of this is simply to communicate the visual style of the film.
6. Who are TV storyboards produced for ?
These are produced for the filiming people - who would be filiming the movie and also for the directors and actors .
7. The story which is told in a film is broken down into narrative elements which are

8. If a film is filmed in real time it would be tedious and time-consuming so what is done to make it more interesting?
To condense this and inject interest, the plot is broken down further into important events or situations

13. What si the difference in using High Camera Angle (HCA) compared to
Low Camera Angle (LCA) ?
In the high camera angle, the camera is higher than eye level, looking down -this viewpoint can diminish a subject or give a panorama, while the low camera angle is situated, lower than eye level looking up. This can make a subject monumental, or the character feel small in a tall environment
14. How do you start a storyboard?
Write a Synopsis of the plot (narrative) of the film.
15. What is the next step in creating the storyboard?
Break up the plot into Moments and Scenes, then Shots.
16.. Pencilling in in the scenes and shots is the next step.

Look for Mise-en-Scene, Montage, or Camera Angle shots required to enhance a scene.

okay, so this task required me to upload a video that was on the StudentNet onto my computer and then import it onto Window's Movie Maker and save it in different file versions and then compare the quality of the videos . && LET ME TELL YAAHH, the difference of the files after the original was SO BAD & BURLY :L

1. i downloaded Audacity ( and this TOOK AGES ! & IT WAS HARD :( ) .. but luckily i had the beautiful mr.lennon's help .. LOLcakes
2. i imported a song that i wanted, " Bobbidi Bibbidi Boo " from the soundtrack of Cinderella 2. LOL I'm still a little kid inside . :D
3. i did some spesh effects and ect . Christle & myself started singing - badly i might add - (LOL) and yada yadaa , ( yadda yadda = effects and the other shenanigans )
4. export it (save) the whole and finsihed file as an MP3.
5. i, then uploaded it onto the Windows Movie Maker and imported the newly remixed version of " Bobbidi Bibbidi Boo " and then imported a wide range of photos with my friends and others to "match" with the songg ... ( or i attempted to do so , ) and then added some effects to make the transitions of the photos to the song onto the clip .
6. after i was satisfied with my beautiful clip , i saved it and as soon as it was completed ,
i uploaded the magical video onto my blogger ( & THAT TOOK AGES ) and then ... i was COMPLETEDD !


& now; here i am , explaining the transaction for you, my beloved fans , that help me keep this "blogger" alive ..

some questions :

1) The video format we will be using this term is Digital Video, an older format that was used instead was called an analogue.
2) The difference between the digital video and the analogue is that the digital video is (as opposed to analog media) usually refers to electronic media that work on digital codes. while analog is a representation of a quantity that varies over any continuous range of values. Analog signals can be thought of as pure in nature and not processed.
3) The advantages of a digital video is that it has many application for it, especially when using a camera. It reduces the amount of data when saving and or using it. AND people dont experience as much problems when doing their work.
4)The meaning of frames rate in videos is the measurement of the frequency in hertz.
5) Not all applications use the same frame rate because not all have the same frequency frame rate.
6) Resolution in terms of electron density is a measure of the resolvability in the electron density map of a molecule, it is measured via picture elements, or "pixels" for short. Pixels are tiny dots that display on a computer monitor in one of millions of colors, shades and hues.
7) The RGB color model is an additive color mode in which red,green and blue light are added together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colors . The name of the model comes from the initials of the three additive primary colors red, green, and blue.
8) PAL : short for Phase Alternating Line, is a color-encoding system used in broadcast television systems NTSC:NTSC is a color TV standard developed in the US in 1953 by the National Television System Committee. NTSC uses a Frame consisting of 486 SECAM:A color television system developed by the French and used in the former USSR. Secam operates with 625 lines per picture frame
9) Australians mostly use PAL as its the most standard option
10) The IEEE 1394 interface is a serial bus interface standard for high-speed communications and isochronous real-time data transfer, frequently used by personal computers, as well as in digital audio, digital video, automotive, and aeronautics applications.
11) In communications engineering, the term codec is used in reference to integrated circuits, or chips that perform data conversion.

The GIF file is used to store low colour sprite data for games and is also used for small animations and low resolution film clips. GIF can not be used for digital photography or still images. The number of colours a GIF file contains are; 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256.

the JEG filee :
This type of file is called the JEG file, and it is mostly used for digital cameras and other photographic devices. It is also used for storing and transmitting photographic images to the world wide web ( internet;) ). It can not be used for multiple edits as it can get lost or deleted. The number of colours a JPEG file has are 256, 16777216 or 4294967296.

ANIMATED GIF FILE :
The " Animated GIF file " is used for a serious of images or frames. Animated GIFs are larger than single-frame GIFs and take longer to download because of its size. The size of a normal animated gif file is 60 x 60 pixels.

MPEG filee :
The MPEG file is mostly used for digital videos and digital audio compressions. You would need to have a computer or laptop with sufficinet speedm internal memory and a large hard disk space to handle and play large MPEG files. The number of colour a MPEG has is 800 mb and has a standard 1100kbps.

Shockwave filee:
The Shockwave file is used for multimedia and are especially used for vector graphics and contains animations or applets of varying degrees. Shockwave file can be played by the Adobe Flash player, working either as a browser plug in or a standalone player. it has a 800x600 pixels and a 16 bit depth.

my last question is , what problems did YOU encounter during the animation process?
Well, to be completely honest, I didn't encounter many major problems like getting my animation deleted like some of my peers.. however I did have mini little problems such as, not knowing what I was going to do, how to change my page size, and how to move my picture.
Oh yeah, my big, MAJOR problem was realizing that if i used a picture, i would have to completely re-draw EVERYTHING. i remember on the first lesson to work on our assignments, i had the original photo there and i kept trying to group it and use the other tool and move it and it wouldn't budge.
HAHAHAHA
untill Mr.Lennon saw what I was doing and I was complaining that there was something wrong with the Inkscape program then he told me that I kinda had to draw everything .
hahahaa
Another problem I encounted was, I couldn't upload my animation up ! and I worked SO hard on IT ! :(

I'm continuing the questions ...

so, I'm continuing my journey of my animation :)
it's going alright ..

It's fairly simple and is DONE ! finalllyyy !
:)

my steps to completing my animation is as follows ;
1) I had to choose which colour house to do, so I choose my favourite colour house, VERITAS !
because it's a nice colour and it's my own colour house :)
2) I had to decide which mascot i would like in my animation, and i chose Mario because he is cool, powerful and he wears a lot of red, so i thought he would be the best choice.
3)I use the Basiar tool to re-draw him so i could move his body parts, then i painted my new "Vario".
4) To start off with my animation, I thought that I would flip him to look like as if he was dancing and pumping his fists up in the air.
5) Then i made my Vario jump to the middle of the page and jump and down, so that he looks like he is really excited and pumped about being in a Veritas advertisment:)
6) Next, i spelt out the word, " GO VERITAS ! " then erased it.
7) After I had erased my " GO VERITAS ! " i added the Veritas motto, " With truth comes justice"
8) After, I put the phase, "YAY" as if to celebrate the Veritas motto and cheer it on .
9) Afterwards, I made Vario hop back to his original place as he was in the begginning of the animation and then added a speech bubble and made Vario say, " OTHER COLOURS, BEWARE", and while the letters were on the page, the colour of the words changed colour to represent all the other house colours and then " VARIO IS HERE"

I told you simple.

heyy friends ! goossh i havnt been on here in ages ! I've just had SO much to do ! This school gives you SO much assignments and exams and the worst thing is that they even give you more homework anyway, it's like all the teachers came together and thought what would pressure the students most .
hahahahahaa , i'm just kidding :) it's just so STREESSSFUL !
so anyway, this is my diary entry of how my (another) IST assignment is doing and how it is progressing and developing and ect ect.

One of the questions that they ask is ;describe the software you are using and why you have chosen to use it to create your animation ?
I chose to use, Inkscape because I thought it would be easier to use and also, because i'm still new at the whole " making- animation " business, so, i thought i'd keep the program easy to use . Inkscape is also very useful when it comes to creating drawings or cartoons that move easily and such, it also gives the animation a "not sketchy" look which is benefical to the presentation of the animation.
Inkscape is a program that lets you create simple or complex drawings, cartoons or other. It lets you redraw a picture you have and once you have completed re-drawing the originial photo, you can move ALL the body parts that you would like too. For example, if i wanted to draw a spongebob and make it look as if was waving his arm, all i'd have to do was to draw over the original photo and after, group all my "beziers" and move it all i like .
