Digital Art, Real Art ?

This is the maddest topic anyone can discuss about ! The topic of whether a artwork is real or not . For an example, when Marchel Dechamp created L.H.O.O.Q - is it an original or a copy, since then, there has not been a real answer about it. Now there is discussion on whether digital art is real art or just "cheating" .
The best thing about Digital Art is that it can be really useful and convenient; for example, if you were to make a mistake, big or small you could just easily erase it. However, if you had done the same mistake on a piece of canvas, you would have to start all over again, try to erase it or do another design. Another good thing about digital art is that there are so much more tools already there on the program and you dont have to go out and purchase it yourself
In art, there are some important terms we must know in order to answer this question.
Appropriation: This is the use of borrowing other images and using it in the creation of something new and with a new meaning .
Copyright: Is a form of intellectual property which gives the creator of an original work exclusive rights for a certain time period in relation to that work, including its publication, distribution and adaptation; after which time the work is said to enter the public domain.
So, is digital art really art ? I believe it is. While others may believe that digital art is not even art because the computers do all the work ..
Well.... Digital Art is just the exact the same thing as doing art on a piece of paper, canvas or anything! Doing an artwork on the computer is the same as if you were drawing, planning, painting, writing, on any flat surface.
Other people believe that artwork created on the computer isn't real because the computer is doing all the work, that cannot be true because if we weren't there to control the mouse or type in the words or plan the artwork, or to even choose the tools supplied...HOW IN THE WORLD WOULD THERE AN ARTWORK TO ARGUE ABOUT ?!
So, unfortunately to all those people who don't believe digital art is real art... It's pretty clear that an artwork created on the computer is the exact same as one created on canvas or paper.
